Aid to Gaza
A humanitaitrian crisis is unfolding in Gaza! The Freedom Flotilla vessel the Madleen has set sail to deliver aid and break the Gaza siege. On board are 12 brave people, including sailing crew, jounalists, Greta Thunberg (activist), Rima Hassan (EP member for France), Mohammed Mustafa (doctor) and Liam Cunningham (actor). You can meet the crew here.

The Madleen's mission
The Madleen's mission is to break the blockade on Gaza and deliver much needed aid to the palestinains. The vessel carries baby formula and food supplies, including flour and rice, diapers and menstrual products, water desalination kits, medical supplies, crutches and children's prosthetics, and solar panels. Another part of it's mission is to raise the awareness of Israel's illegal occupation of Gaza and genocidal tactics against the Palestinians. Approximately 2 million people are threatened by starvation.

The mission of the Madleen is protected under international law as stated by Professor emeritus John Dugard. The Freedom Flotilla Coalition emphasizes that this is a peaceful act of civil resistance. All volunteers and crew aboard Madleen are trained in nonviolence. They are sailing unarmed, united by the shared belief that Palestinians deserve the same rights, freedom, and dignity as all people.
