We have noticed a typo in our newsletter, the correct date for the global climate strike is the 11th of April!

Get yourself ready for the first global climate strike of 2025!

WHERE? ANYWHERE

WHEN? 11 APRIL 2025

Theme: DontSellOurFuture

The theme for this global climate strike can be easily adapted to your local situation. Think about some of these questions to build your local narrative: Who, or what entity is selling out your future? Which money making, or wealth hoarding scheme is wreaking havoc on the climate? What injustices are being caused for the benefit of a few? What can be done to stop these issues? How could your local situation be improved?

How to join?

Find out if there is a climate strike in your local area.

Can’t find one? No problem, create your own strike, invite a few friends, and you’re good to go.

How do you create your own strike?

  • Pick a place, e.g. near a government building

  • Pick a time. (The date is 11 April)

  • Tell friends when and where they can join you

  • Announce your strike on social media

  • Announce your strike in local media

Prepare for the strike:

  • Make a banner or placard

  • Wear old clothes and comfortable shoes

  • Bring water and a snack

  • Come with a buddy

  • Wear a mask, not just for health purposes, also for privacy purposes.

  • Remember to keep it nonviolent!

Take pictures during the strike, it’ll be a nice memory, for yourself, and your strike group!

Send 1 or 2 pictures to us so we can include your strike in a collage we make after the GCS and publish in our Newsletter. Email them to info@fridaysforfuturenewsletter.org
