Global Climate Strike spring 2026

The global climate strike is coming, and the team is preparing to send out a date and hashtag. Unfortunately, the date and hashtag aren’t yet known. We’ll post them on our social media channels as soon as we know them. You can follow us on Mastodon, Bluesky, Instagram, and we also post into this facebook group.

You can start preparing your global climate strike by putting a team together to help you organize. Prepare preliminary designs for the global climate strike flyers, and start sending out messages on social media, telling people to keep an eye on your channels. Talk to local news stations/newspapers about including a message about the global climate strike. Choose a strike location, etc.

A mass of climate demonstrators entirely fills a city street from side to side, and as far as the eye can see. They carry signs and march peacefully. The people at the front carry a banner that stretches across the street - it reads ‘Climate Justice Now’ and is adorned with the Fridays for Future green logo. A boy walks solo in front of the entire mass. In front of him are a group of photographers taking pictures of the oncoming crowd. On the far right, is a woman progressing in a wheelchair.

We prefer people to strike in-person outside a government building. Bear in mind that some people are unable to strike in-person, or it is not safe for them to do so, or they may have disabilities that make it difficult or impossible to sit or stand outside for long periods. There are alternative possibilities:

Strike indoors with a sign and post it with a hashtag on social media. #DigitalStrike

Write and perform a climate strike song and post it online!

You can also sign petitions, and spread them on social media.

Wherever you strike, take photos, and post it all on social media using the hashtags #FridaysForFuture, and #ClimateStrike
